2010 World Expo

The World Expo is a large-scale, global, and non-commercial exhibition which aims to promote the exchange of ideas and development of the world economy, culture, science and technology. It is a unique opportunity allowing its participants – countries, cities or organizations participating with a pavilion – to promote themselves and improve their international relations. With 150 years of history, the World Expo is a mega-event comparable to the Olympic Games in size, importance, international projection and legacy for its host-city.

The World Expo 2010, held in Shanghai, was the largest in history with 5.28 square km in size, 240 participants and 73 million visitors over a 6–month period.
